Security Officer, Site Security
Enterprise Security Services Corporation is looking for capable, dependable individuals to provide unarmed security services at client properties throughout Fairfax and nearby Northern Virginia communities. Our company is women-owned and minority-owned, with more than 30 years of experience in the security industry. We recognize the value of officers who pay attention to detail, follow instructions carefully, and handle their responsibilities with maturity and professionalism.
We are interested in candidates who take pride in being dependable team members. Whether you bring previous security experience or are ready to learn the profession, you may be a good fit if you meet the position requirements and are committed to doing the job properly.
Client needs vary across Fairfax, creating opportunities to work in several types of environments. Depending on the assignment, officers may provide coverage at shopping centers, retail locations, office properties, commercial facilities, and other designated sites.
Because staffing requirements can change, your assigned location may vary. You should be prepared to travel reliably to designated posts and become familiar with the specific instructions and operating procedures of each property.
- Protect the assigned premises: Maintain an alert, visible presence to discourage theft, vandalism, trespassing, and unauthorized entry.
- Carry out routine inspections: Walk designated interior and exterior areas, paying attention to unusual activity and potential safety concerns.
- Observe access points: Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas in accordance with the property's security procedures.
- Assist people professionally: Help visitors, employees, and customers with routine questions while maintaining appropriate security awareness.
- Identify developing concerns: Recognize suspicious behavior, unsafe conditions, and potential security violations and report them promptly.
- Respond appropriately to incidents: Follow established procedures during disturbances, emergencies, and other unexpected situations.
- Maintain written records: Prepare complete daily activity logs and accurate incident reports.
- Keep management informed: Communicate relevant developments to designated site contacts and notify emergency services when circumstances require.
- Respect site requirements: Follow company policies, client instructions, and applicable regulations throughout each assignment.
We value sound judgment, consistent attendance, and a willingness to follow established procedures.
Applicants must:
- Possess a Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) unarmed security officer registration or be eligible and willing to obtain the required registration.
- Meet Virginia's minimum age and eligibility requirements for security registration.

- Have reliable transportation to reach assigned locations throughout the Fairfax area.
- Communicate clearly and maintain a professional approach when interacting with the public.
- Be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Arrive on time and maintain a neat, professional appearance.
Experience in security, retail, hospitality, or customer service is beneficial, but previous security employment is not required. Applicants who are new to the field are welcome to apply if they meet the applicable eligibility requirements.
Pay, Scheduling, and Opportunities to ProgressWe offer a range of work opportunities based on client requirements and operational needs.
