This Software Engineer (Dev Ops) – Level 3 or 4 role will be located at one of the following sites:
Morrisville, NC;
Fairfax, VA; or Linthicum, MD. This position is 100% onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work. The role will follow a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off. You will support the program through maturity and milestones to achieve the mission. Development is done within the Agile paradigm using the Atlassian tool suite. The work is full-time in the office. The qualified candidate must have and be able to maintain a DoD clearance.

The successful candidate will have software development experience, the ability to digest changes and translate them into working designs, generate efficient code according to specifications, and adapt to changes driven by bugs, updates, or customer needs. The candidate is expected to operate independently with little oversight in a dynamic environment and to be highly self-motivated, reporting information to leads and the customer.

The individual is expected to handle diverse assignments with efficiency, finding unique solutions in a fast-paced, collaborative environment that continues to grow.

In This Job, You Will

• Support the Processing Team in the development of tasking and scheduling software
• Be on an Agile team supporting two programs with a singular baseline
• Work to execute 2-week sprints for 3-month increment deliveries
• Design, develop, document, refactor, test, and debug applications
• Other duties as assigned

This position is contingent upon clearance verification and transfer to the NG sponsored program and continued ability to maintain the required clearance level.

Basic Qualifications

This requisition may be filled at either a level 3 or a level 4, depending on experience. Candidates must meet the following:

• Requires an active Top-Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance at time of application
• Level 3:
  • Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of professional experience
  • Master’s degree with 3 years of professional experience
  • PhD with 1 year of professional experience (excluding internships, research projects, etc.)
  • May consider an additional 4 years of experience in lieu of a completed bachelor’s
• Level 4:
  • Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of professional experience
  • Master’s degree with 6 years of professional experience
  • PhD with 4 years of professional experience (excluding internships, research projects, etc.)
  • May consider an additional 4 years of experience in lieu of a completed bachelor’s
  • Java experience
  • Software design experience
  • Software unit testing experience
  • Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and microservice architecture (containerization)
  • Object-oriented design experience (OOD/OOP)
