Engineering Technician, Environmental Engineer

Veolia ANZ is seeking an experienced Plant Operator / Technician to join our in Fairfield 2165. Within this role you’ll be responsible for the efficient operation and maintenance of our advanced Recycled Water Treatment Scheme, ensuring we consistently achieve quality, reliability, and safety benchmarks.

• Ensure optimal performance of recycled water treatment facilities to achieve contractual performance indicators
• Utilise SCADA monitoring systems to oversee plant operations and address system alerts
• Diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions through effective corrective measures
• Perform scheduled maintenance activities, repairs, and major equipment servicing
• Contribute to after-hours support rotation and remote plant supervision
• Document operations accurately using CMMS and enterprise management systems
• Oversee external contractors and administer work authorisation procedures
• Maintain adherence to workplace health, safety, and environmental standards
• Execute water sampling protocols and perform laboratory testing procedures

• Demonstrated experience in water treatment operations (highly regarded)
• Proven capability in electrical systems and general plant maintenance
