TAC is a leading supplier of advanced composite materials for aerospace, sporting goods, motor sport, and industrial markets. Our thermoset composite products are found on nearly every satellite, space launch vehicle, unmanned aircraft, military and commercial aircraft, while our thermoplastic prepregs, known as Cetex®, are used in a wide range of commercial and military aircraft, including large wing structures and interior applications such as seats and galleys.
Cetex products are available in unidirectional tape or fabric form across a broad spectrum of engineered thermoplastic resins, including PEEK, PPS, PEI, Nylon, PET, PC/ABS, HDPE, and PP.
Working with minimal oversight from the Quality Manager or Quality Engineer III, the Quality Engineer I supports the generation of strategic planning to improve business processes and increase production output. Responsibilities include overseeing the communication and maintenance of TAC’s quality management systems, policies, documentation, data, and customer‑specific requirements, as well as leading efforts to support the manufacturing process to ensure quality requirements are met, non‑conformities are evaluated, and corrective actions are implemented.
MAJORDUTIES AND REQUIREMENTS
- Represent the quality function in team activities, integrating contractual and TAC Quality Management System requirements into all proposals and documentation.
- Provide quality interpretation of requirements.
- Develop quality metrics, design, and production certification plans for small programs to ensure compliance with contractual, company, and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct capability assessments and process validations to support supplier selection activities.
- Participate in analysis, tests, and process audits to ensure manufacturing and test readiness.
- Analyze non‑conformance trends to evaluate the effectiveness of corrective actions.
- Evaluate and disposition non‑conformities in accordance with TAC’s MRB process.
- Recommend and develop corrective actions to address non‑conformances.
- A technical bachelor’s degree (e.g., engineering, materials science, or chemistry) preferred, or at least 5 years of applicable work experience with demonstrable proficiency in the major duties above.
- At least 3 years of experience working in quality, ideally with composites manufacturing.
- Knowledge of AS9100 and ISO 9001 standards preferred.
- Must be able to communicate clearly (written and verbally) in English.
- Ability to work and communicate with multiple teams.
- Maintain work areas in a neat, orderly, and safe manner.

$80,000 – $105,000 DOE
