Fire Alarm Designer / Engineer
MK2 Engineers, Inc. is looking for an experienced Fire Alarm Designer / Engineer to join our team. We are a multidisciplinary engineering firm providing mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection engineering services for commercial, institutional, government, and other building projects.

Responsibilities:Design fire alarm systems for commercial, institutional, and other building projects.
Prepare fire alarm drawings, plans, calculations, and technical specifications.
Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, including NFPA 72 and California Building and Fire Codes.
Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and project managers.
Respond to plan-check comments and assist with permitting and project coordination.
Support projects from initial design through construction.
Experience designing fire alarm systems for building projects.
Knowledge of NFPA 72 and applicable fire and life safety codes.
Proficiency in AutoCAD;
Revit experience is a plus.Ability to prepare accurate drawings and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Engineering degree, NICET certification, or Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus but not required.
Experience with California projects is preferred.
