Patient Services Rep (Temporary) – North Bay Health
We are seeking a Patient Services Representative II to perform front‑office duties including reception, registration, appointment scheduling, insurance verification, and medical records management for our Ambulatory Division. This is a temporary position covering a department leave of absence.
Responsibilities- Perform general front office duties of moderate scope and complexity.
- Manage reception, registration, appointment scheduling, insurance verification, and medical records functions.
- Exercise judgment within defined guidelines and work as part of a clerical and customer‑service team to support ambulatory medical practices.
Some college business or computer coursework preferred; coursework in medical terminology preferred.
Licensure / CertificationCurrent AHA or equivalent BLS certification required.
Experience / Skills- Two years of customer engagement experience and/or service‑centered role required.
- Experience with in a healthcare environment in medical record processes, appointment scheduling, referral and authorization processes, registration processes, and back‑office clinical support preferred.
- Excellent customer service, oral and written communication skills, ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Working knowledge of: differentiating insurance types (Medi‑Cal, Medicare, Managed Care, Indemnity, Workers Compensation); importance of accurate registration for claims processing and patient care; organizational processes and procedures;

Hourly salary range: $26.92 – $29.64 (based on years of experience).
