We are seeking a motivated Human Resources Generalist to join our team. In this role, you will ensure the human resources department operates smoothly and efficiently, providing maximum value to the company and all employees. Your responsibilities will include organizing training opportunities, onboarding new employees, administering employee benefits, and developing HR policies for the company. This role ensures compliance with California labor laws, DDS/Title 17 requirements, and internal policies, while helping foster a supportive, ethical, and high-performing workplace.
The ideal candidate is an excellent problem-solver with strong verbal and written communication skills and a committed team player.
- Assist in the recruitment and hiring process
- Onboard new employees
- Offboarding processes
- Coordinate Live Scan, background checks, credentialing, and training compliance
- Maintain accurate, confidential personnel files and HRIS records
- Create training materials and opportunities for understanding HR policies
- Administer compensation and benefits
- Educate employees on HR-related topics, including leaves and compensation
- Assist in performance management tasks
- Collect human resources data and provide summaries and reports to management
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field
- 3-5 years of experience as an HR Generalist or related position
- In-depth knowledge of human resources policies and labor laws
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), and HR databases
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in human services, Healthcare, Behavioral health, and/or nonprofit organization
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification
- Experience supporting shift-based or high-turnover work forces
