  • Program and support horizontal machining centers, including pallet‑changing systems.
  • Interpret blueprints, CAD models, engineering drawings, and GD&T requirements.
  • Select tooling, fixtures, work holding, feeds, and speeds to maximize efficiency and tool life.
  • Simulate and validate programs prior to release to ensure accuracy and eliminate collisions.
  • Support first article inspections, new product introductions, and process validations.
  • Troubleshoot machining and programming issues, making improvements to cycle times, quality, and machine performance.
  • Work closely with Manufacturing Engineering, Production, and Quality teams to support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Create and maintain setup sheets, tooling documentation, revision control records, and machining standards.
  • Drive initiatives focused on reducing setup times, scrap rates, downtime, and overall manufacturing costs.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and operational procedures.
Essential Skills
  • 8+ years of CNC programming experience in a precision manufacturing environment.
  • Advanced Mastercam programming experience required.
  • Strong experience programming 3‑axis, 4‑axis, and 5‑axis CNC machining centers.
  • Proficiency reading blueprints, CAD models, and GD&T specifications.
  • Solid understanding of machining processes, tooling selection, work holding, cutting parameters, and process optimization.
  • Experience supporting prototype development, first article production, and production machining.
  • Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and manufacturing software.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across multiple departments.
