ALL ABOUT ON DEMAND

You can work as much or as little as you like as an On-Demand Team Member (TM) and your schedule may vary depending on shift availability and store needs. This role is ideal for those that are looking for a personalized work schedule.

As an On-Demand TM, you will not be included on the posted weekly schedule, but you will have the opportunity to create your own schedule by picking up shifts posted by leaders or other team members via the myTime mobile scheduling app. When you choose to pick up a shift, reliable and prompt attendance is necessary.

You are expected to engage actively by picking up and working shifts at least once every 4 weeks (minimum of four hours). Flexibility can be granted in certain circumstances, but you must respond to attempts to contact you to confirm interest in shifts  you do not respond, employment may be terminated. If you do not work at least one shift within 5 months, employment may be administratively terminated.

You must be able to work when the business demands it most. After being offered a position, you will be required to attend a Target Welcome orientation and commit to a short-term structured training schedule. The myTime app is used to pick up shifts after training.

ALL ABOUT SERVICE & ENGAGEMENT

Guest Advocates welcome, thank, and exceed guest service expectations by focusing on guest interaction, loyalty enrollment and store cleanliness. They are knowledgeable about in-store and digital services and solutions and can drive adoption and loyalty. They enable quick shopping at checklanes, guest services, gift registry, pickup and drive-up while ensuring quality.

Typical skills and experiences include:

• Communicating with guests to build an inclusive guest experience
• Problem solving and decision making to resolve guest concerns
• Adapting to different guest interactions and situations
• Promoting and explaining various benefits, offerings and services

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate a service culture by delivering the service standard and creating a welcoming experience
• Greet guests during daily tasks and assist with their needs
• Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services to solve guest issues
• Thank guests and acknowledge their choice to shop at Target
• Scan and bag items efficiently and in compliance with safety standards
• Minimize guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy
• Inform guests about current and upcoming brand launches and store activities
• Explain Target Loyalty benefits and assist with enrollment as needed; be familiar with fulfillment services
• Explain features of the Target App and Wallet
• Handle returns following policies, escalating to leaders as needed
• De-escalate issues with leaders and recover the guest experience
• Provide easy and accurate service for Order Pick Up, Drive Up, and Registry guests
• Maintain a clean, organized work area
• Stock supplies during store hours and be available for guests
• Adhere to safety policies and report hazards
• Support guest services such as OPU and Drive-up orders, including compliance with relevant laws
• Assist with Cash Office processes as needed
• Perform other duties based on business needs
