Vision Center Manager (NL2) – Walmart

Base pay range: $30.00/hr - $40.00/hr

Drive sales by ensuring effective merchandise presentation, accurate pricing, proper signage, and inventory levels. Manage budgeting, forecasting, and market trend analysis. Provide leadership and support to associates, routing community outreach programs. Maintain compliance with Walmart and legal policies, oversee safety and quality assurance, and implement action plans for improvement. Consult members on eyewear selection, perform measurements, verify prescriptions, maintain equipment, and conduct minor frame repair.

• Drive sales in the Vision Center by ensuring effective merchandise presentation, accurate and competitive pricing, proper signing, and inventory management.
• Budget, forecast sales, and assess economic trends and community needs.
• Model and enforce customer/member service standards, resolving complaints within guidelines.
• Oversee community outreach; encourage associate participation.
• Ensure compliance with company and legal policies, implementing asset protection and safety controls.
• Lead safety, operational, and quality assurance reviews; develop action plans to improve performance.
• Provide supervision, training, mentoring, recognition, and promotion of belonging mindset.
• Consult and educate members on eyewear, measure, verify prescriptions, maintain confidentiality.
• Assist with minor frame repair and optical equipment maintenance.
• Apply the Open Door Policy; address associate concerns, research issues, and suggest resolutions.
• Coordinate and oversee job-related activities, building relationships with stakeholders.
• Promote continuous learning, adaptability, and ethical conduct.
• Deliver results while putting customers first, applying business models.
• Make data-driven decisions balancing priorities and stakeholder interests.

• Completion of 2+ years of college or 1 year retail experience + 1 year supervisory experience or 2 years general work experience including 1 year optical experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current eligibility to work as an optician or apprentice optician under applicable state laws.

• Experience supervising associates.
