Our global client is looking for an accounting professional who can support accounting/financial activity across a dynamic, multi-entity environment. The role involves maintaining accurate records, assisting with reporting cycles, managing asset and lease activity, and preparing documentation for audits. This role plays in intricate part in the day-to-day accounting operations for a company that prides itself on maintaining a great work/life balance.
Responsibilities- Strong month end close experience including entering and reviewing monthly and annual journal postings
- Reconciling cash accounts, credit activity, and other key balance-sheet items
- Monitoring ledger accuracy across several operational groups
- Maintaining schedules for accruals, prepaid activity, and cost allocations
- Supporting intercompany transactions and eliminations
- Managing records for capital equipment and long-term assets
- Assisting with lease tracking and reporting requirements under ASC 842
- Ensuring asset and lease schedules match general ledger balances
- Helping confirm revenue timing aligns with service or activity periods
- Supporting accounting related to operational costs, inventory, and consumables
- Partnering with field, logistics, or operations personnel to validate financial inputs
- Assisting with accounting tied to specific projects, contracts, or routes
- Compiling schedules and documentation for internal and external audits and responding to auditor questions and providing requested backup
- Contributing to internal control documentation and workflow updates
- Supplying reconciliations and schedules for tax-related filings
- Identifying opportunities to improve the close process and reporting accuracy
- Participating in ERP enhancements, automation efforts, and system improvements
- Updating internal accounting process documentation and standard procedures
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a similar field
- 3+ years of hands-on general ledger experience
- Strong month-end close, journal entry preparation, reconciliations, and audit support
- Solid Excel skills (pivot tables, lookup formulas, advanced functions)
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as Net Suite, Oracle, SAP, Intacct, or similar
