Are you a passionate tap instructor who loves working with children?
The Ensemble School- D'Valda & Sirico in Fairfield, CT is seeking an experienced Tap Teacher to inspire and nurture the next generation of dancers. Our well-established studio is rooted in strong technique, artistry, and community, and we're looking for an instructor who can bring energy, musicality, and clarity to their classes while contributing to our positive, growth-focused environment.

Our classrooms are staffed by amazing teachers who go beyond teaching dance technique to developing important life skills in students because D'Valda & Sirico is about More Than Just Great Dancing!®

This position is for Wednesday evenings with an immediate start date.

What We’re Looking For
  • Proven experience teaching tap to youth across multiple levels.

  • Professional experience in the performing arts.

  • Solid understanding of tap technique, musicality, terminology, and progressions.

  • Ability to teach clean sounds, rhythm patterns, and performance quality in an age‑appropriate way.

  • Excellent classroom management skills; able to motivate both beginners and more advanced students.

  • Strong communication with students and parents; able to give clear, constructive corrections.

  • Team‑oriented approach—comfortable collaborating with staff for shows and performance opportunities.

  • Reliability and professionalism (punctuality, prepared lesson plans, consistent attendance notes).

About D'Valda & Sirico

Established in 1987, under the direction of Angela D’Valda Sirico and Steve Sirico, the Dance and Music Centre continues to provide its students with the finest in performing arts training. Our programs are designed to meet the skill level and goals of all children, teens, and adults from aspiring beginners to experienced professionals. Classes are taught by experienced instructors active in the professional art world as performers, choreographers, musicians, and teachers.
