Job Description
Your role as Project Manager, Architectural & Engineering, will provide support to the management of architectural and engineering projects by assisting with administrative and technical tasks, such as coordinating schedules, preparing documents, and ensuring that project timelines and budgets are met. Key responsibilities include assisting with project planning, overseeing project documentation, facilitating communication between team members and clients, providing support in quality assurance and code/regulatory compliance, and performing site visits for surveys, construction meetings, or to verify the status of construction.
Ideally, the candidate has aviation experience.
- Project administration:
Assist in planning and coordinating project activities, manage project files, and handle administrative duties like scheduling meetings and preparing reports. - Technical support:
Review project-related documents, help coordinate between different engineering disciplines (e.g., architectural, structural, MEP, and civil), and provide support in developing project specifications and technical drawings. - Communication and coordination:
Facilitate communication between project managers, architects, engineers, contractors, and clients. This includes distributing information, relaying comments, and updating stakeholders on project progress. - Quality assurance:
Help ensure projects adhere to safety standards, building codes, and client requirements. This can involve assisting in the review of designs and making sure corrections are made. - Financial assistance:
Aid in managing project budgets, processing invoices, and assisting with the procurement of materials and equipment. - Documentation and filing:
Prepare and file applications with regulatory bodies and keep officials updated on project changes. Maintain records of distributed materials and other project-related information. - Mentorship and guidance:
Assist in training and mentoring junior staff by providing technical assistance and guidance.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in project management within the architecture or construction industry.
- Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills are required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
- Proficiency in reading technical drawings is a must. Knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and relevant regulations is also crucial.
- Familiarity with CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software and proficiency in MS Project and Microsoft Office Suite, or other relevant software, are often required.
- Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.
- Requires a Bachelor's of Architecture degree.
- Licensure is a benefit but not a requirement.
- PMP certification preferred but not required.
- This is a full-time position based in our Denver or Fairfield office. The role requires occasional travel to airports within the U.S. for site-based work as well as travel to architectural and engineering partners’ offices. The successful candidate must pass criminal background checks and screening to obtain airport security badges.
- Standard 40-hour work week with occasional additional time required to meet deadlines.
- Projects that the successful candidate will participate in may require drug screening.
- $80,000 - $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience, skills, and qualifications.
