Position Summary – Designer IHourly Pay Rate $24.00 – $34.00 with full benefits
Under guidance from project engineering, architectural, or technical services staff, assist in the planning, design and development of construction drawings for various projects. Provide field support including field verifications for retrofit applications, as‑built documentation, on‑site procurement, and installation supervision. Provide direction to drafters as required to complete design assignments and review work for accuracy and completeness.
Develop a complete set of construction drawings.
Exercise independent judgment by utilizing the correct design criteria based on knowledge from vendor data and project scope.
Check drawings for accuracy including dimensions, spelling, drafting standards, and completeness.
Review manufacturer’s drawings and other discipline drawings and any existing plan drawings for physical interferences.
Communicate with the project engineer and other disciplines to resolve any design problems with the manufacturer’s drawings or interferences.
Advise, assist, and occasionally directs drafting personnel of a lesser grade in performance of their assigned duties.
Assure the company quality assurance procedures are followed in completion of assigned tasks.
High School Diploma or GED.
Associate Degree in one of the following fields of study: drafting, design, automation, electronics, mechatronics, engineering, GIS, other related field of study.
In lieu of an Associate Degree: a combination of education and experience in design/drafting, construction, project management, or electronics providing equivalent knowledge.
Working knowledge of one or more of the following: GIS, design software, work management programs, and related systems desirable.
Knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Micro Station is preferred.
Knowledge of construction standards, materials, and technical codes is preferred.
Demonstrate the ability to produce complex engineering drawings in a 2D or 3D environment.
Knowledge of and ability to use Windows operating system, Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, Access)
Self‑starter, able to work with minimal supervision.
Position Summary – Designer IIHourly Pay Rate $28.00 – $39.00 with full benefits
Involved in applications of general design practices. Will select and recommend procedures in design and prepare preliminary designs for Engineer’s approval. Works independently on design projects in support of design engineer, or other professional, and will often coordinate drafting efforts on projects. Provides technical support for engineers working in such areas as research, design, development, testing, or process improvements. Direct drafters in development of design for projects.

High School Diploma or GED. Min. of Assoc. Degree in one of the following fields of study: drafting, design, automation, electronics, mechatronics, engineering, GIS, other related field of study.
In lieu of an Assoc. Degree:
Minimum 2 years’ design experience or equivalent job‑related experience in one of the following: design, construction, or electronics providing equivalent experience and knowledge.
Proficient in one or more of the following: GIS, design software, work management programs, and related systems required.
Knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Micro Station is preferred.
Knowledge of construction standards, materials, and technical codes. Demonstrate the ability to produce complex engineering drawings in a 2D or 3D environment. Able to perform field site walkdowns.
May be required to work on construction sites and in an industrial plant environment.
Knowledge of and ability to use Windows operating system, Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, Access) Self‑starter, able to work with minimal supervision.
