Van Dyk Recycling Solutions is seeking a well-rounded Sales Support Engineer to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent college graduate with an engineering background to gain hands‑on experience in both technical and client‑facing roles within the recycling industry.

The ideal candidate is adaptable, personable, and ready to work in a collaborative environment while supporting sales efforts with technical expertise.

• Collaborate with the sales team to provide technical support during client meetings and presentations.
• Conduct site visits to gather data, assess client needs, and support proposal development.
• Assist in creating and reviewing technical documentation, specifications, and layouts.
• Coordinate with engineering and service teams to ensure accurate and feasible solutions are presented to clients.
• Participate in field visits and travel as needed (once or twice a month by plane, plus local travel to client sites).
• Spend the first one to two months in the field full-time to gain hands‑on experience with equipment and client operations before returning to Norwalk as the home base.
• Support pre‑sales and post‑sales activities to enhance customer experience and project success.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field).
• Entry‑level experience; recent graduates encouraged to apply.
• Excellent interpersonal skills; comfortable interacting with clients and internal teams.
• Willingness to travel regularly and work on‑site when required.
• Participation in a sport at any level (high school, college, or club) is a plus, demonstrating teamwork, discipline, and resilience.
• Ability to think critically, solve problems, and learn quickly in a dynamic environment.
• Must not have prior professional connections to current Van Dyk employees to ensure a fresh perspective and adaptability.
