Position DetailsLead a dedicated team of 3 full-time Dietitians and support the Bedside Patient Delivery Service. Oversee clinical nutrition care, patient care quality, and satisfaction within a 366-bed acute care academic hospital with an average census of 118 patients.
Salary$90,000–$95,000

We are seeking a Clinical Nutrition Manager to lead our Nutrition Team in an Acute Care setting in Fairfield, CT.
Key Responsibilities- Establish goals and oversee the implementation of clinical nutrition care based on medical direction and patient population
- Assess nutritional status of patients through documentation in the medical record
- Hire, lead, coach, train, and develop nutrition team members
- Train and mentor patient services staff and interns as applicable
- Foster teamwork and implement innovative programs leading to optimal clinical nutrition and financial outcomes
- Monitor competency, productivity, and documentation accuracy of clinical staff
- Assign and direct workload; participate in staffing analysis in collaboration with leadership
- Comply with regulatory standards (federal, state, accrediting agencies) and HIPAA obligations
- Participate in and/or lead patient/resident satisfaction programs and quality improvement initiatives
- Registered Dietitian through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
- State licensure where applicable
- Two years of experience in acute care; three years in senior living as an RD
- Specialty certifications where applicable
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, electronic medical record systems, and nutrient analysis software
