Mental Health Professional – Family-Based Therapist
Location: Salisbury Behavioral Health, Wilkes-Barre Pennsylvania
Pay Rate: $25.00/hour
Schedule: Alternative 40-hour workweek (may include evenings and weekends)
Bonus: $1,000 sign-on bonus (paid in 3 increments over 12 months for full-time employees)

Position Summary
As a Mental Health Professional (Family-Based Therapist), you’ll serve as the clinical lead on a multidisciplinary team, providing therapy and case management services to a caseload of 8 children and their families. Your work will focus on strengthening family relationships, improving emotional regulation, and building sustainable support systems.
Therapists deliver both team-based and individual services using the Eco-Systemic Structural Family Therapy (ESFT) model. A 3-year, paid training program through the Philadelphia Child and Guidance Center is provided, leading to state certification eligibility.
What You’ll Do
Serve as the lead therapist on a caseload of 8 families
Deliver therapy and case management services in the home and community
Develop and maintain treatment plans and conduct intake/ongoing assessments
Maintain a 60/40 ratio of team-based to individual services
Ensure timely and accurate clinical documentation
Collaborate with Program Directors and Coordinators
Maintain strong relationships with clients, families, and stakeholders
Facilitate community linkages and aftercare planning
Uphold CASSP principles and cultural competence
Participate in supervision, training, and professional development
Qualifications
Education:
Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Nursing, Education, Rehabilitation, or a related Human Services field
OR RN with 5 years of mental health experience and OMH certification
Experience:
Minimum 2 years in a CASSP System Program (Family-Based)
Experience working with children/adolescents and complex family systems
Internship/practicum may count if in an outpatient or inpatient clinical setting
Licensure/
Certifications:
Valid Driver’s License
Ability to pass background checks (FBI, Child Line, criminal history, driving record)
Skills & Attributes
