Law Librarian I
State of Connecticut Judicial Branch
Stamford

The State of Connecticut Judicial Branch is seeking a Law Librarian I to perform professional to advanced library duties which include providing legal reference and research guidance, instruction in database searching, catalog and collection maintenance.

Primary work location is Stamford; may be required up to two days a week to work other locations.

Salary Range: $73,767/
year – $92,975
– plus State of Connecticut benefits . New employees begin at the minimum. The starting salary for existing state employees may be higher than the minimum, in accordance with existing Judicial Branch policy.

EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING
  • General

    Experience:

    A Master’s degree in Library Science or Information Science from a graduate school accredited by the American Library Association.
  • Substitutions Allowed:
    Three years of experience as a Law Librarian Trainee may be substituted for the General Experience.

A Law Librarian I may be advanced to the class of Law Librarian II after receiving a satisfactory performance evaluation and meeting the experience requirements for the II level.

Special Requirements:
Incumbents in this class may be required to travel in the course of their daily work.
