The New York City Campaign Finance Board manages New York City’s small donor democracy program and educates and engages voters via NYC Votes. The CFB has enjoyed a tremendous arc of progress over its 30-year history, and our updated flagship small donor democracy program is the centerpiece of this progress.
We eliminate barriers to participation by providing access to the resources New Yorkers need to vote or run for office and amplify the voices of small donors with New York City’s small donor democracy program.

The Public Affairs division promotes the agency’s key role in equipping all candidates and voters to power a fairer and more open democracy in New York City. We engage New Yorkers, inform them about elections, and boost their civic participation in the democratic process. Within Public Affairs, the Product Management and Operations unit is responsible for managing the delivery of major/recurring projects such as the Voter Guide, candidate materials, agency publications, and the CFB’s web properties.
Our project management, language access, and digital operations teams work together to ensure that our materials are accessible and relevant to all New Yorkers, especially under‑represented communities.
- Assist with the management of the Voter Guide and other projects as assigned, including creating project schedules, managing workflow, and identifying and managing risks.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the agency to obtain information and input and coordinate creation and distribution of materials.
- Manage project budgets of over $1 million, requesting and reviewing estimates and tracking expenses against approved budgets.
- Identify project staffing and resource needs and work with Director of Product Management and Operations to assign internal staff or vendors to tasks.
- Develop accessible versions of print, video, digital, and other materials, coordinating internal accessibility reviews, conducting research, and obtaining feedback as needed.
- Clearly communicate project roles, scope, and timelines, providing proactive and regular updates on progress.
- Coordinate with design, printing, video and other vendors and report on costs, scope of work, and performance as needed to inform procurement processes.
- Liaise with the Language Access team to request and deliver translated versions of materials.
- Actively monitor and ensure the quality of all products.
- Publish information to the website, work with Digital Operations Specialist and directly support content entry during high‑volume periods.
- Conduct retrospectives on major projects and suggest process improvements, including opportunities to use technology to improve workflow and efficiency.

Knowledge- Proficient understanding of various project management methodologies and their appropriate application in different project contexts, including change management frameworks and practices to effectively navigate project changes and facilitate smooth transitions.
- Understanding of stakeholder identification and management strategies, ensuring effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
- Knowledge of risk assessment and management techniques, including identification, analysis, and mitigation strategies to minimize project risks.
- Comfort using software and digital tools for project management.
