Accounting Manager

Description Kforce has a client that is seeking an Accounting Manager in Fairfield, NJ.Overview:

A growing manufacturing company in Central New Jersey is seeking a hands-on Accounting Manager to join its leadership team. This position will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, month-end close activities, and process improvement initiatives across multiple entities. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical accounting skills, cost accounting experience, and a proactive approach to driving operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes
* Prepare and review account reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statements
* Oversee accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash management
* Manage multi-entity accounting, consolidations, and intercompany transactions
* Perform financial analysis, variance reporting, and management reporting
* Maintain compliance with US GAAP and internal control requirements
* Coordinate annual audits and work closely with external auditors and tax advisors
* Monitor cash flow, working capital, and inventory-related accounting
* Partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning initiatives
* Drive process improvements, automation projects, and ERP system enhancements
* Mentor and develop accounting staff while fostering a collaborative team environment Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
* 7+ years of progressive accounting experience
* Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience
* Strong experience with cost accounting in a manufacturing environment
* Experience with multi-entity accounting and financial consolidations
* Advanced Excel and ERP system experience
* Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
