Objective:
As a Park Assistant Manager, you play a key role in overseeing the daily operations of the park, ensuring a safe, enjoyable, and efficient experience for visitors. You will supervise staff, implement operational procedures, and maintain high standards of customer service. Park Assistant Managers are the primary contact between guests and Kids Empire, responsible for guest satisfaction, resolving complaints, and addressing questions or comments from guests while at Kids Empire.
You must interact with families and children of all ages.
- Attend to guests promptly, greet them, and make them feel comfortable in the park environment.
- Supervise employees to ensure they perform duties satisfactorily and meet production goals.
- Assist the Park Manager with training, development, and auditing.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment among park staff.
- Audit schedules and request needed approvals from the Park Manager.
- Open and close the park using keys or a code.
- Communicate guest or employee issues to the Park Manager.
- Manage the check-in process by collecting guest information and signing liability waivers via an iPad.
- Operate the front cash counter, handle cash/credit card transactions, and provide exact change when necessary; manage daily cash flow.
- Verify billing transactions using the POS system.
- Organize the refreshment area with drinks, snacks, chips, and ice cream; check inventory and reorder from vendors as needed.
- Walk the floor to monitor for unsafe hazards and ensure guests follow park rules and guidelines.
- Clean restrooms and sanitize all park structures, tables, chairs, and playground equipment.
- Schedule and coordinate family events and assist in operating events efficiently.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Stand, walk, bend, and twist constantly.
- Frequent bilateral hand movements and good finger dexterity.
- Work in noisy environments with guests, including children and music.
- Tolerate a hectic and busy environment during peak hours; work in a structured setting and be comfortable with heights.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to work weekends and holidays.
- Able to work with children and operate an iPad.
- Strong communication, customer service, and conflict resolution skills.
- Leadership and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to make effective decisions in a fast-paced environment and prioritize guest satisfaction.
- Commitment to safety and emergency preparedness.
- Ability to work independently and read/write in English.
