Our client, a nationwide leader in pharmaceutical manufacturing, has an immediate need for experienced Quality Control Chemist
, to join their growing team in Fairfield.

This is a first shift role with plenty of overtime available! Our candidate of choice will have knowledge and/or experience with blending, compression, and tablet handling.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide cGMP compliant laboratory technical support to Manufacturing/Operations in the form of method validation, testing, documentation and.
  • Responsible for the laboratory testing in accordance with company SOP’s as well as cGMP’s and GLP’s.
  • Maintain personal laboratory work area and assist with general laboratory cleaning.
  • Proficient with the operation of instrumentation such as HPLC, UV, GC, KF, AA, FTIR.
  • Daily data entries in laboratory logbooks.
  • Must stand or sit and wear protective equipment where necessary such as a respirator or breathing apparatus for extended periods.
  • Responsible for the peer review of co-workers notebook to ensure compliance to SOP’s and cGMP’s.
  • Responsible for ensuring safety and integrity of product testing while on company premises.
  • Accountable for the production of Good Documentation Practices.
  • Consolidate all notebook pages and Chromatographic scans with the Q.C. section of the batch records.
  • Participate in team-oriented investigations of manufacturing deviations as needed.
  • Familiar with emergency procedures and equipment necessary to safely and effectively respond to an emergency involving hazardous waste.
  • Ensures scientific validity of technical resources.
  • Maintains a safe working environment for all Q.C. personnel.
Key Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or scientific related field.
  • Advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of professional experience in a Q.C. analytical laboratory role using HPLC, GC, and Infrared spectroscopy.
