International Tool & Manufacturing is a small, precision CNC job shop located in Fairfield, NJ, specializing in tight-tolerance prototype and short-run production work
. The shop primarily supports defense-related programs and operates in a temperature-controlled, ISO-certified environment with a strong focus on quality, craftsmanship, and long-term employment.

This is a shop for experienced machinists who take pride in their work and want stability, respect, and challenging projects — not button-pushing production lines.

We are seeking a highly experienced Mazak CNC Lathe Machinist to take ownership of the lathe department
. This is a long-term opportunity for a senior-level machinist who can confidently handle complex setups, tight tolerances, and prototype work across a wide range of materials.

You will work independently, with trust and autonomy, in a professional shop environment alongside other skilled machinists.

• Set up and operate Mazak CNC lathes (single-turret horizontal)
• Program and edit at the machine using Mazatrol
• Machine tight-tolerance prototype and short-run parts
• Interpret complex blueprints and GD&T requirements
• Select tooling, offsets, and cutting parameters
• Work with a wide range of materials (steel, aluminum, stainless, exotic alloys)
• Perform in-process inspections to ensure quality standards
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work area
• Support continuous improvement within the lathe department

• 10+ years of CNC machining experience
• Strong background in CNC lathe machining
• Hands-on experience with Mazak machines and Mazatrol controls
• Ability to hold tight tolerances consistently
• Experience in job shop and prototype environments
• Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
• Strong attention to detail and quality mindset

• Salary: $100,000 – $120,000 per year
