Responsibilities- An Assembler is an individual who under moderate supervision applies standard procedures to perform a variety of component assembly tasks, ensuring products meet high standards.
- Assembles components in accordance with drawings and operation sheets.
- Responsible for weighing, loading and pressing operations.
- Handles tooling, fixtures, and uses various hand tools to produce or modify parts.
- Maintains count, order progress, and logs in time/quantities.
- Closes and assembles units using crimping, closure tools, and epoxy applications.
- Performs soldering tasks such as small wire soldering, terminal soldering, and bridge wire welding.
- Assists with the packaging of pyrotechnic assemblies where required.
- Follows required company safety practices and quality procedures.
- Follows procedures defined by CAD policies, procedures, and ISO 9001 requirements, maintaining confidentiality of all information processed.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
While performing duties, the employee occasionally needs to stretch, bend, kneel, and stoop; regularly needs to walk, communicate, and reach with hands and arms; frequently sits, stands, and uses hands to finger, handle, or feel; and must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds using appropriate moving devices. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
WorkEnvironment
The employee is regularly exposed to solder, fluxes, cleaners, epoxies, and masking agents while using appropriate personal protective equipment, works in a temperature‑controlled environment, and is usually exposed to a low‑to‑moderate noise level.
QualificationsThe incumbent must be a US Person (US Citizen or US Permanent Resident) due to potential exposure to ITAR controlled data, and must be able to obtain and maintain an ATF Possessor License. Successful completion of a background investigation, including ATF screening and drug screening, is required. The background investigation may include verification of employment history, education, criminal records, ATF‑mandated checks, and other relevant information.
Failure to pass the checks or providing false information may result in withdrawal or termination.
