Forklift Operator

Location: Fairfield, NJ

Shift: 10:30am-7:30pm (Monday-Friday)

Pay: $20/hour ;
Overtime: $30/hour

The Forklift Operator plays a key role in accurately picking, packing, and processing client orders so they are completed and shipped on time. This position involves operating a forklift throughout the warehouse and working within a fast-paced fulfillment environment that relies on precision, efficiency, and adherence to performance metrics.

• Pick, pack, and process client orders with a high level of accuracy to ensure timely delivery.
• Operate a forklift safely and efficiently throughout the warehouse to move, load, and unload materials.
• Perform warehouse inventory tasks, including locating, counting, and organizing products.
• Execute order picking and warehouse packing activities according to established procedures and standards.
• Follow fulfillment center metrics and KPIs, meeting or exceeding performance expectations.
• Stand for extended periods while performing picking, packing, and forklift operations.

• Proven warehouse experience, including inventory handling, picking, and packing.
• Hands-on experience with order picking and warehouse packing in a fulfillment or distribution environment.
• Ability to operate a forklift safely and competently in a busy warehouse.
• Previous experience working in fulfillment centers with performance metrics and KPIs.
• Ability to read and analyze documents, reports, and computer screens in English.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in order processing.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative warehouse team.
• Solid time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and productivity goals.
• Willingness to follow established processes and adapt to evolving fulfillment center procedures.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of FAIRFIELD, NJ.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
