Build your future with us Our Accounting department is currently seeking a payroll manager to help lead and manage the transition from Peoplesoft HCM to Workday, ensuring effective system ownership while driving operational efficiencies through best practices and maintaining accuracy and timeliness.

This position is based at our headquarters in Fairfield, Ohio. Candidates outside the local area must be willing to relocate. The team currently follows a hybrid schedule of four in-office days and one remote day per week.

The pay range for this position is $82,500-$144,060 annually. The pay determination is based on the applicant’s education, experience, location, knowledge, skills and abilities. Eligible associates may also receive an annual cash bonus and stock incentives based on company and individual performance. Be ready to:lead and oversee payroll operations while ensuring accuracy, timeliness and compliance with established policies and proceduressupport the transition from People Soft HCM to Workday and drive process efficiencies and improvement through system best practices manage payroll system implementations, upgrades, testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), data validation and system conversionseffectively communicate and collaborate with Human Resources, Finance, Tax, Internal Audit, Compliance, Shared Services and Information Technology teams on payroll-related initiativesoversee payroll reporting, reconciliations, audits, year-end processes and internal controlscoach, mentor and develop associatesmanage vendor relationships, system enhancements and cross-functional projects maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment in handling payroll and associate information

Qualifications

Be equipped with:knowledge of payroll taxation, payroll accounting, compliance, and internal controlsstrong analytical, problem-solving, organizational and project management skills advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, data analysis, reconciliation and reporting experience integrating payroll, HRIS, human capital management (HCM), benefits, timekeeping and financial systemsability to manage multiple payroll priorities and deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail experience with Workday HCM and/or People Soft HCM Bring education and experience from:bachelor's degree in accounting (required)10+ years of accounting experience (required) payroll processing and financial reporting experience (required)
Certified Payroll Professional (CPP), Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) or another recognized payroll certification preferred; candidates actively pursuing certification are encouraged to applyprior leadership experience, including coaching, mentoring and developing associates, preferred experience with People Soft HCM preferred experience with Workday HCM preferred, including…
