Jeff Wyler Kia of Fairfield is looking for a talented, hardworking, and motivated Service Technician to join our team.

We're looking for someone who knows their way around a vehicle, takes pride in their work, enjoys solving problems, and understands that a good technician doesn't just replace parts — they diagnose the problem.

YOUR MISSION Keep our customers' vehicles running safely, reliably, and properly.

Simple, right?

Well...sometimes.

You'll diagnose, maintain, repair, inspect, and occasionally have a conversation with a vehicle that goes something like:“Okay. You and I are going to figure this out.”And then you do.

WHAT YOU'LL DOPerform routine maintenance and scheduled services.

Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical concerns.

Perform brake, suspension, steering, and other automotive repairs.

Perform inspections and identify necessary repairs.

Use diagnostic equipment and scan tools to identify vehicle concerns.

Follow manufacturer repair procedures and dealership standards.

Complete repairs accurately and efficiently.

Communicate diagnostic findings and repair recommendations to the Service Advisor.

Perform quality-control checks on completed repairs.

Maintain accurate documentation of work performed.

Keep your work area clean, organized, and safe.

Properly use and maintain shop equipment and tools.

Stay current on vehicle technology, repair procedures, and training.

Work with fellow technicians, Service Advisors, Parts, and Management to keep the shop moving.

Occasionally explain to someone why “I saw a You Tube video” isn't necessarily a factory-approved repair procedure.

QUALIFICATIONS Previous automotive technician experience preferred.

Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.

Ability to diagnose and repair automotive mechanical and electrical systems.

Basic computer and diagnostic-tool skills.

Ability to safely operate shop equipment.

Strong attention to detail.

Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to communicate professionally with Service Advisors and other team members.

Ability to provide your own professional tools appropriate for the position.

BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE:

Kia/Hyundai experience or factory training.

ASE certifications.

Experience with advanced diagnostic systems.

Electrical diagnostic experience.

ADAS experience.

Hybrid/EV experience.

Experience with modern scan tools.
