Pharmacist Mail Order & Retail Hybrid (Fairfield, OH)
Soliant is seeking a Pharmacist to join a growing team at a mail order pharmacy in Fairfield, Ohio. This unique role operates within a hybrid retail and mail‑order model, requiring adaptability, leadership, and strong communication skills. Shift Overview- 1st Shift: Functions similarly to a traditional retail pharmacy.
- 2nd Shift: Hybrid workflow first half mirrors retail pharmacy, second half operates as a closed‑door mail‑order facility.
- Lead start‑of‑shift huddles in the absence of a Lead Technician.
- Act as a resource for pharmacy technicians, assisting with problem‑solving and task delegation.
- Perform pre‑checks (PV1) of prescriptions to ensure accuracy and appropriateness.
- Conduct final verification (PV2) of filled prescriptions according to legal and professional standards.
- Provide medication counseling to patients, ensuring proper use, dosage, and awareness of side effects.
- Train and mentor new team members, offering feedback and guidance.
- Oversee end‑of‑shift preparations, ensuring the workspace is organized for the incoming team.
- Maintain accurate records of dispensed medications and patient profiles.
- Manage inventory, ensuring proper storage and security of medications.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and pharmacy policies.
- Uphold patient confidentiality in accordance with healthcare laws.
- Stay up to date on new medications, treatments, and industry advancements.
- Engage in continuing education to maintain licensure and enhance clinical expertise.
- Serve as a mentor to pharmacy students and residents.
- Active and clear Ohio Pharmacist License.
- Pharm
D degree from an accredited institution. - Experience in retail, mail order, or hybrid pharmacy settings is preferred.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to adapt to a fast‑paced, evolving pharmacy environment.
