Pharmacist Mail Order & Retail Hybrid (Fairfield, OH)

Soliant is seeking a Pharmacist to join a growing team at a mail order pharmacy in Fairfield, Ohio. This unique role operates within a hybrid retail and mail‑order model, requiring adaptability, leadership, and strong communication skills. Shift Overview
  • 1st Shift: Functions similarly to a traditional retail pharmacy.
  • 2nd Shift: Hybrid workflow first half mirrors retail pharmacy, second half operates as a closed‑door mail‑order facility.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead start‑of‑shift huddles in the absence of a Lead Technician.
  • Act as a resource for pharmacy technicians, assisting with problem‑solving and task delegation.
  • Perform pre‑checks (PV1) of prescriptions to ensure accuracy and appropriateness.
  • Conduct final verification (PV2) of filled prescriptions according to legal and professional standards.
  • Provide medication counseling to patients, ensuring proper use, dosage, and awareness of side effects.
  • Train and mentor new team members, offering feedback and guidance.
  • Oversee end‑of‑shift preparations, ensuring the workspace is organized for the incoming team.
Administrative Duties
  • Maintain accurate records of dispensed medications and patient profiles.
  • Manage inventory, ensuring proper storage and security of medications.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and pharmacy policies.
  • Uphold patient confidentiality in accordance with healthcare laws.
Research & Professional Development
  • Stay up to date on new medications, treatments, and industry advancements.
  • Engage in continuing education to maintain licensure and enhance clinical expertise.
  • Serve as a mentor to pharmacy students and residents.
Qualifications
  • Active and clear Ohio Pharmacist License.
  • Pharm

    D degree from an accredited institution.
  • Experience in retail, mail order, or hybrid pharmacy settings is preferred.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast‑paced, evolving pharmacy environment.
