Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) - Fairfield Hospital

Entry level, Full-time position in Fairfield, OH.

The New Grad ICU (Critical Care) Registered Nurse (RN) position is responsible for delivering exceptional nursing care to patients by utilizing strong organizational and leadership skills to assess patient status, determining the priority of the patient’s problems and needs, implementing clinical nursing interventions to acute, critical patients that require intensive medical care, developing and performing patient care plans to enhance and improve outcomes, and ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment.

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Conduct and analyze initial and ongoing patient assessment, create a plan of care, implement treatment, and evaluate treatment effectiveness.
• Synthesize and prioritize information to take immediate and decisive evidence-based, patient-focused action using clinical judgement.
• Anticipate and respond to rapidly changing patient conditions.
• Administer medications safely consistent with state practice and organization policies.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor of Science Nursing (preferred, not required).
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) or RN applicant.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association (preferred, not required).
• ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support (required within 6 months of hire).

• Previous experience as an LPN or Patient Care Tech/CNA (preferred).
