They establish trust, invest in long‑term relationships and stay committed to their customers to successfully fulfill the end users needs and to exceed performance expectations.
- Identify, pursue, and close opportunities with OEMs, system integrators, and distribution partners
- Ability to discuss and review conveyor and system requirements with customers to offer the best possible equipment configuration that meets all the needs of the application and wins the business
- Act as the primary sales contact with customers within the territory
- Prepare and submit written quotations to customers using existing templates, structure and formats
- Follow‑up on leads and call prospective clients
- Interface with Alba sales, estimating, engineering and production team members
- Provide technical guidance on conveyor systems, components, and integration options to support customer decision‑making and solution design for quote preparation.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships by understanding customer needs, providing tailored solutions, and delivering exceptional service
- Maintain existing customer base and build new strong long‑term relationships
- Work with customers as needed to work out details such as, change orders, scheduling, shipping
- Coordinate customer visits and run‑offs at Alba’s facility
Alba is searching for a career‑minded, aggressive, goal‑oriented technical sales professional to join their team. Looking for an individual to work initially side by side and learn the business from an existing successful sales professional that plans to retire after 28 years in his sales role s new salesperson would take over the existing distributors, system integrators and OEM customers in well‑established territory after his retirement.
Compensation for this position would consist of a base salary with an unlimited commission structure based on the volume of sales. Specific experience should include:
- Strong understanding of material handling equipment, conveyor systems, automation, or industrial equipment. Preferably working with pallet handling conveyors and equipment
- Understands warehouse and manufacturing workflow and automation
- Ability to achieve or exceed sales goals and contribute to overall company growth and profitability
- Sales experience with ability to close orders
- Engineering background or good mechanical aptitude with understanding of conveyors and power transmission equipment
- Sales experience with ability to close orders
- Ability to work in a technical sales environment independently and with others
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Able to conduct phone and web meetings
- Not afraid to pick up the phone and connect with customers
- Well organized and focused
- Must be able to multitask, set priorities and manage time
- Enjoys working in a demanding and fast paced work environment
- Dedicated and hard working
- Likes to succeed and set goals with a Do what it takes attitude!
