Our Diesel Mechanics are essential to our business and we are hiring at multiple levels including Apprentice, Levels I, II, III, and HM183 certified.

This position is required to safely and accurately perform general property and vehicle maintenance and repair duties in a fast-paced shop environment. Knowledge of basic preventive maintenance and repair techniques for Class 5 through Class 8 commercial vehicles, including tank trailer inspection and maintenance in compliance with FMCSA regulations, is required.
Essential Functions- Perform vehicle maintenance and repairs safely and accurately in a shop setting.
- Apprentices receive hands-on training in preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs of Class 5–8 Commercial Vehicles and tank trailer maintenance/inspection.
- Levels I & II learn to use the maintenance software to create and complete work orders and maintain records; assist other technicians with preventive maintenance and repairs of trucks, tractors, and trailers.
- Level III builds on I/II duties and may perform new technology evaluations, diagnosis, and repairs with appropriate certifications.
- HM183: perform duties as a DOT inspector certified per FMCSR requirements; maintain inspector certifications as appropriate.
- Valid Driver's License
- Experience:
1–5+ years in heavy-duty vehicle maintenance/repair (level determined by experience and certifications) - Air Brake Certification (FMSCR 396.25) or ability to obtain through KAG
- EPA 609 Certification (MVAC) or ability to obtain through KAG
- HM183:
Valid DOT inspector certification or verifiable experience with ability to obtain through KAG
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently; more with assistance
