Job Summary
:

This Java developer role is responsible for designing and building core backend applications using Java with a strong focus on Spring Framework and Spring Boot. The role supports a fast‑paced, high‑impact environment focused on enterprise content and document management solutions. It involves developing mission‑critical applications that specialize in system integration and content services, enabling many applications—often built on varying platforms or technologies—to exchange data reliably and efficiently, especially documents, images, videos, and other file formats.

Responsibilities
:

• Provide expert‑level guidance in Java backend and frontend development. Lead technical discussions, design sessions, and architectural decisions to ensure robustness, scalability, and performance.
• Design, develop, and maintain high‑performance and scalable backend services using Java and related technologies. Implement RESTful APIs, microservices, and integration with databases and third‑party systems, including legacy SOAP services.
• Architect and develop cloud‑native applications using containerization and orchestration technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes. Leverage cloud services (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) for scalability, reliability, and resource optimization.
• Collaborate with Dev Ops teams to tune CI/CD pipelines, automate deployment processes, and ensure smooth software releases.
• Enforce coding standards and best practices. Conduct thorough code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and mentor junior developers.
• Identify and address performance bottlenecks across the application stack. Implement caching mechanisms, optimize database queries, and minimize latency.
• Apply security best practices, including data encryption, authentication, and authorization, while ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Create comprehensive technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, API specifications, and deployment guides.

Education and Certifications
:

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or an equivalent degree.

Experience / Skills Required
:

• 5+ years of backend development experience using Java.
• Strong expertise in Spring Framework and Spring Boot, including dependency injection, RESTful services, and microservices architecture.
• Hands‑on experience with Docker containerization.
• Proficient in building and integrating RESTful and SOAP services.
• Proficient in writing and optimizing SQL queries for relational databases.
• Familiarity with observability platforms such as Splunk or Dynatrace.
• Experience with unit and integration testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito).
• Basic knowledge of front‑end technologies (HTML, CSS3, JavaScript, JSP, jQuery, Angular).
• Strong communication and time‑management skills.
• Team‑oriented and willing to learn.

Preferred
:

• Enterprise Application Integration experience.
• Experience with database integration using DB2 and Microsoft SQL Server.
• Experience with application servers: JBoss, Tomcat, or similar.
• Experience with structured data formats such as XML & JSON.
• Test‑Driven Development (TDD) experience.
• Servlet development.
• Front‑end integration with JSTL, Expression Language, jQuery UI.
• Familiarity with Linux and Windows OS.
• Experience with Agile tools: JIRA.
