Job Overview

Shipping/Receiving Clerk role at DSG‑Canusa, a market leader in electrical infrastructure. This position supports shipping, receiving and logistics operations, ensuring compliance with HSE policies, transportation regulations, and internal procedures. The role involves daily oversight of team activities, target achievement and continuous improvement.

• Daily support and oversight of Shipping/Receiving operations team while adhering to HSE policies to achieve IIF status.
• Achieve monthly shipping targets for DSG.
• Receive goods to ensure timely distribution to accounting department.
• Identify quality related problems and respond immediately to prevent or minimize missing performance targets.
• Schedule carriers to customers, ensure compliance with all policies and procedures for product transit and delivery. Communicate with internal and external customers to ensure compliance with specific requests.
• Prepare daily documentation: BOLs, customs and ocean freight, etc.
• Actively participate and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain good housekeeping practices in work area using the 5S principles.
• Operate all equipment in a safe and effective manner.
• Knowledge of road and rail transportation rules and regulations to ensure safe, secure, efficient, and clean transportation of products (e.g., weight distribution and height restrictions).
• Strong sense of urgency with good quality track record.
• Provide training to new and/or junior employees as required, focusing on safety, efficiency and quality.

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• At least three (3) years of practical experience in a warehouse environment executing shipping and receiving operations efficiently and safely.
• Formal HSE or SMS training considered an asset.
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office.
• Post-secondary education, or those awaiting accreditation, considered an asset.
