We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and experienced Accountant with Quick Books Online experience who will also manage key HR functions, primarily focused on compliance and benefits administration. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bookkeeping, accounting software, and HR benefits management. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the financial and employee benefits operations of our organization.

- Perform daily bookkeeping operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card transactions, and other financial accounts on a monthly basis.
- Process payroll and ensure compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure they are up-to-date and organized within Quick Books Online.
- Monitor and manage cash flow, including invoicing, collections, and vendor payments.
- Handle online banking and cash transactions.
- Assist in budget preparation, forecasting, and provide financial analysis to management as needed.
- Administer employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to employee benefits, tax laws, and other HR‑related policies.
- Maintain accurate employee benefits records, ensuring timely updates and accuracy.
- Coordinate open enrollment for employee benefits programs and answer employee questions regarding benefits.
- Ensure compliance with employment regulations, including ACA, FMLA, and other benefit‑related legislation.
- Assist with the completion and filing of necessary regulatory reports related to employee benefits.
- Proven experience as an Accountant.
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles, financial reports, and general ledger processes.
- Experience with payroll processing and tax compliance.
- Knowledge of HR compliance and benefits administration.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Excellent organizational and time‑management skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.), and comfortable with accounting software.
- Ability to work independently and in a team‑oriented environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in accounting and HR benefits administration, preferably in a small to mid‑size organization.
