Medical Assistant (Certified) – Fairhaven, MA
40 hours per week, day shift 8:30 am–5:00 pm

Under the direction of the Office Manager or Clinical Coordinator and the Medical Assistant Group Supervisory Agreement:

• Assist providers with patient care and procedures in a private medical office setting.
• Facilitate efficient patient flow through the clinic or medical office.
• Communicate with patients by telephone, including delivery of test results, surgery schedules, and procedure information under supervisor direction.
• Use the electronic medical record (EMR) and related software to update and access patient information.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
• Provide medical interpretation in a language other than English as defined by the practice office, when applicable.

• High school diploma or equivalent plus specialized courses and training.
• Certification as a Medical Assistant (AMCA, AAMA, AMT, CCMA, NCMA, or equivalent) required within 13 months of hire for non‑certified candidates.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant Program or equivalent experience.
• BLS certification mandatory.
• Experience with an EMR and/or health‑related software preferred.
• Minimum one year of medical assistant work experience preferred.
• Fluency in a language other than English and medical interpreting experience preferred.
• Other specialty certifications may be preferred.
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal influenza and COVID‑19, or provide an exemption statement.

Pay range: $21.94 – $28.56 per hour, based on experience.
