VCA Capeway Veterinary Hospital is seeking a full time Veterinary Assistant to join our state of the art, full service hospital in Fairhaven, MA. Whether you are a seasoned Veterinary Assistant or a Technician in training, we want you to use the knowledge that you’ve invested your time and talent in. The skills that will be utilized include, but are not limited to:

  • Compassionate patient care
  • Client education and care
  • Pharmacy and medication administration
  • Lab sample collection and processing
  • Diagnostic imaging
  • Surgical preparation and assisting
  • Anesthesia monitoring
  • Dentistry
  • Medical recordkeeping

The salary range for this position is $18 - $26 / hour

This position is full-time, 35-40 hours/week with a 4-day work week. You would work every other Saturday, but you will receive an additional weekday off when scheduled on the weekend. You will have 2 set days off per week and the 3rd day off rotates when you work the Saturday. This is a closing shift. Mondays, Tuesday, Wednesdays and Thursday you can expect to be off around 7:30 PM, Fridays around 6 PM, and Saturdays around 4 PM.
