Unit Technician - Emergency Department

This role involves assisting with patient care under the supervision of registered nurses or licensed medical professionals in various clinical settings.

• Performing activities within legal scope for unlicensed nursing personnel.
• Monitoring and interpreting patient heart rhythms, blood pressure, and pulse oximetry continuously.
• Collaborating with healthcare team members during abnormal or critical patient conditions.
• Activating emergency response plans and performing duties such as ECGs and splinting in emergency departments.

• 18+ years old with 12 college credits or a high school diploma/GED plus Nursing Assistant training or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills, strong organizational, communication, and teamwork abilities.
• Knowledge of medical terminology; BLS certification required prior to patient care.

Additional details:
The position is part-time, nonexempt, with a pay range of $19.92 - $27.33/hour, working 24 hours per pay period, primarily 12-hour shifts starting at 11 am, including every third weekend/holiday. The role offers opportunities for growth and development in a supportive, patient-focused environment.
