Position: Cybersecurity Intern with Security Clearance
MANTECH seeks enthusiastic and talented Cybersecurity Interns for our fast-paced Cybersecurity and System Engineering Operations Center in Fairmont, WV. In this role, our interns will protect critical networks and systems from cyber threats in collaboration with a dynamic team while gaining exposure to a variety of cybersecurity disciplines. All work is onsite in Fairmont, WV. Candidates must have an active Top Secret clearance or be a US Citizen eligible for a Top Secret clearance.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Alert Monitoring and Analysis:
Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) tools to detect and analyze potential security incidents.

* Intrusion Analysis:
Investigate and analyze network traffic and system logs to identify signs of malicious activity.

* Incident Response Support:
Assist the incident response team with containing, eradicating, and recovering from cyber incidents.

* Systems and Network Administration:
Learn and support the administration of Linux and Windows systems and network devices.

* Security Tool Support:
Help manage and maintain various cybersecurity tools and platforms.

Minimum Requirements:

* U.S. Citizen with an active US Top Secret clearance or eligible to obtain a Top Secret clearance

* Current full-time student pursuing a BS/MS in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity or a related field with a projected expected graduation date after December 2026

* Demonstrated interest in Cybersecurity as seen in academic projects, positions or extracurricular activities

* Demonstrated academic or professional experience tackling complex technical challenges

Preferred Qualifications:

* Active Top Secret clearance

Physical Requirements:

* Able to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. Incudes working in government tactical labs, ships and sites.

* Frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.
