- Develop, implement, and monitor our comprehensive Infection Prevention and Control Program, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and best practices.
- Provide engaging and informative training to new hires and existing staff on infection prevention and control principles, fostering a culture of safety.
- Monitor infection trends, analyze data, and identify areas for improvement, proactively preventing outbreaks and ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
- Take swift and decisive action to manage potential outbreaks, ensuring the safety of all involved.
- Manage employee health programs, including immunization tracking, TB screening, and ensuring a healthy workforce.
- Collaborate with our Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) team to integrate infection prevention strategies and drive continuous improvement.
- Serve as a trusted resource and consultant for staff, offering guidance and support on infection prevention and control matters.
- Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with current practical or vocational nurse licensure by the State Board of Nursing.
- Must complete specialized training in infection prevention and control.
- Minimum of three years full-time or equivalent nursing experience is required and a minimum of two years of nursing experience in long-term care nursing with one year in management, administrative or supervisory capacity is preferred.
- Previous experience in infection prevention and control is preferred.
- Must be able to work flexible hours to meet with employees working evening and night shifts.
- Must work at least part-time at the center.
