Works to assist veterans & veteran families to enroll in the Supportive Services for Veteran Families housing program. Works closely with local landlords and rental properties to locate and secure rental openings for enrolled clients. Works with participants to develop appropriate case plans and goals. Provides ongoing assessment and support, assist participants in the utilization of internal and community resources to meet the individual/family needs & secure appropriate permanent housing.
Job Requirements /Responsibilities- Provide own transportation
- Carry adequate insurance coverage
- Criminal Background Check
- Protective Services Record Check
- Drive long distances
- Day &/or overnight travel may be required for training purposes
- Organize, communicate, and manage well under pressure
- Excellent computer knowledge/skills
- Use of Microsoft Office Software/Products preferred
- Professional telephone skills, working knowledge of various types of office equipment
- Work independently and as a team member, interact with people from all socioeconomic backgrounds
