Overview

Are you a hands-on accounting pro who can run the show in a small, fast-moving construction business? We're a growing subcontractor working with repeat industrial clients across the region — and we're hiring a Controller to take charge of our financial operations and help build the systems we need for our next phase of growth.

$/yr - $/yr

Base pay range is provided by Talent Edge Recruiting. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.

• Oversee Accounts Payable & Receivable
• Manage cash flow and bank activity
• Own the month-end close process and financial reporting
• Coordinate payroll (processed externally via accountant)
• Handle COIs
  , lien releases
  , and compliance
• Lead development of budgets and forecasting
• Process daily invoices ranging from small jobs to six-figure projects
• Support 20–30 active short-term jobs at a time
• Use Quick Books Online +
  Fleet Cost & Care for accounting and billing

• 5–8 years of full-cycle accounting experience, including leadership or 'team of one' roles
• Background in construction or subcontractor environments
• Experience with union payroll/reporting
• Comfortable working independently in a small business setting
• Proven ability to manage high transaction volume
