Senior Plumbing Engineering Designer

• Design, develop, and generate models, plans, details, and drawings of plumbing systems, including domestic and industrial water, sanitary, storm, gas, and specialty piping system sand components in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and BIM requirements.
• Lead plumbing design for complex commercial, residential, healthcare, mission-critical, industrial, and other project typesfrom schematic design and space planning through construction administration and coordination with other disciplines.
• Present design approaches and coordinate effectively with other disciplines, consultants, contractors, and client teams.
• Perform QA/QC reviews of plumbing designs, BIM models, calculations, and project deliverables.
• Develop technical guidance for plumbing systemsandmaintainplumbing design standards, best practices, and engineering procedures.
• Provide technical direction,mentorship, and technical skill advancementto plumbing engineers and designers,ensuring high-quality deliverables, technical consistency, and effective project execution.
• Track project progress, including scope, and schedule.

• Minimum of fifteen (15) years of experience in plumbing engineering and design.
• Demonstrated knowledge of and experiencewithIPC, UPC, IFGC, NFPA, and other applicable industry, federal, state, and local codes,design standards, and regulations, including applicable
  
  Florida codes andlocaldesign requirements.
• Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and BIM-based design and coordinationor directing Revit designers for preparing construction documents.
• Demonstrated experience incorporating sustainable design practices, LEED principles, and water conservation strategies into plumbing system designs.
• Expert verbal and written communication skills for both internal and external relationships.
• Able to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries from clients, regulatory agencies, and members of the business community.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize workload, and meet project schedules and deadlines.
• Willing to travel to project sites or offices, as needed.
