Legal Administrative Specialist

To be qualified at the GS-7 grade level in the federal service, you must meet at least one of the following conditions: specialized experience, education, a combination of education and experience, or superior academic achievement.

• Specialized Experience
  :
  At least one full year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 grade level performing litigation and administrative support to attorneys—preparing routine legal documents, assisting with case organization, maintaining calendars, assisting in court preparation, and verifying legal citations.
• Education
  :
  One full year of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a degree in a related field (e.g., Legal Studies, Law, Criminal Justice, Information Technology) from an accredited institution, demonstrating the knowledge and skills required for the duties of the position.
• Combination of Education and Experience
  : A combination of specialized experience and education that together satisfy 100% of the requirements.
• Superior Academic Achievement
  :
  Possess a bachelor's degree or be expected to complete the requirements for one within the next 9 months and meet at least one of the following: (1) upper-third class standing, (2) GPA of 3.0 or higher out of 4.0 or 3.5 or higher for major courses, or (3) membership in a national scholastic honor society.
