Dialysis Float Registered Nurse

Job Overview

DaVita is hiring a Float Dialysis Nurse (RN) to give life based out of our Villa of Great Northern Dialysis in Fairview Park, OH.

Location:

Fairview Center Dr Ste 100, Fairview Park, OH 44126.

Will float to clinics such as Amherst, Center Ridge, Rockside, and Hilliard Dialysis within the Cleveland, Ohio region.

• Hours vary by clinic; start as early as 3:00 or 4:00 am; typically 12-hour shifts.
• Shift differential for travel and paid mileage.

• 30%:
  Supervises and performs direct patient care including vital signs, dialysis initiation/termination, documentation, physical assessment, order transcription, lab work.
• 20%:
  Provides dialysis therapy per physician orders, manages ultrafiltration, verifies safety, administers meds, documents.
• 20%:
  Analyzes assessments, lab data; reports concerns, documents observations; communicates emergencies to supervisor, MD, etc.
• 15%:
  Assesses patient/family learning readiness; provides education on renal disease; participates in care plan development; writes monthly progress notes.

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from accredited school of nursing required; BSN, three-year diploma may substitute.
• At least 1 year of clinical experience as RN.
• Experience in ICU, critical care, ER, or Med Surg helpful but not required.
• Certified Nephrology Nurse (CNN) or Certified Dialysis Nurse (CDN) beneficial.
• Employment contingent upon successful drug screen and background check.
