The Licensed Optician delivers the brand value proposition and helps establish Lens Crafters as the premier destination for all vision needs within the community. Responsibilities
  • Welcome all customers and set expectations
  • Custom fit glasses and precisely place prescriptions in lenses
  • Act as a leader in optical acumen
  • Take and record measurements, accurately adjust/fit eyewear with attention to detail, ensuring finished eyewear meets standards and customer needs
  • Assist team with complex product needs and prescriptions
  • Use technology accurately and thoroughly despite time pressure and customer volume, demonstrating exceptional product knowledge and use of appropriate tools
  • Proactively explore root cause of issues, forward‑thinking, ensuring customers are satisfied and expectations are exceeded, solution‑driven
  • Multi‑task, prioritize and manage time with competing priorities
  • Strive to achieve exceptional results on Brand KPIs and competencies
  • Take pride in store appearance, keeping the store clean, attractive and organized
  • Inform management of safety opportunities; demonstrate safe work practices
  • Resourceful, self‑motivated with a desire for continual learning, improvement and results
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures, including discounts, promotions and inventory management
Basic Qualifications
  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • State licensure
  • Optical dispensing experience
  • Strong customer service skills: communicator, listener and team builder
  • Knowledge of current store merchandise
  • Strong basic math skills
  • Awareness of current fashion trends
  • Selling skills – ability to use and carry an iPad/tablet
  • Familiarity with POS, computers and calculators
  • Embrace new technology and change
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous customer service and retail experience

Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements. In addition, you may be offered a competitive bonus and/or commission plan, which complements a first‑class total rewards package.
