About the PositionWe are looking for a Residential Associate to join our team at our Fairview Firs SRTF program in Fairview, Oregon. Residential Associates work as members of a direct care team serving adults with serious mental illness. Primary responsibilities include supporting the development of life skills and therapeutic interventions, performing housekeeping and meal preparation, administering medication, and keeping accurate clinical documentation. Experience as a QMHA, Direct Support Professional (DSP), Residential Assistant (RA), Residential Counselor, Skills Trainer, or caregiving for a client with behavioral health needs is welcome.
WorkSchedule
Monday through Wednesday, 10:00pm – 8:00am (Part Time, Night).
What You’ll Make$20.00 - $22.00 per hour DOE/Credentials. An additional $2.50 per hour night shift differential applies during 10:00pm–6:00am.
Additional 5% Language Differential offered for bilingual/multilingual candidates (Spanish/English desired).
About the ProgramFairview Firs is a secure, co-ed, 4-bed program serving adults with mental illness who may have exceptional medical needs. The program includes an ADA-accessible unit and is equipped to support individuals with psychiatric polydipsia. Each resident has a private bedroom. Residents are screened for admission by Multnomah County and program staff to ensure appropriate placement. Columbia Care Services is a qualifying employer for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program.
WhatYou’ll Need
Must be eligible for Qualified Mental Health Associate (QMHA) registration. Eligibility requires one of the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Science (e.g., Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Human Development) or related field;
- OR minimum three (3) years of verifiable behavioral health experience in a supervised setting;
- OR an equivalent combination of behavioral science education and satisfactory behavioral health experience/training.
If not already registered as a QMHA through MHACBO, we will assist you in registering within 30 days of hire.
Vocational Training Program:
Optional program with additional training to meet QMHA testing requirements and to achieve the 1000 supervised hours for QMHA-I.
Driving is an essential function. A valid driver’s license, a safe driving record, and the ability to pass a DHS criminal background check are required. Physical requirements include the ability to frequently talk, listen, use hands/fingers, reach, stand, walk, sit, bend, stoop, climb stairs, and lift/carry/push/pull up to 40 pounds. Crisis de-escalation and CPR trainings are required and may involve physical tasks and assisting with lifting/transferring clients.
