Job Description
  • Under the direction of the area supervisor, perform daily activities accurately and on time.
  • Maintain a safe and professional environment.
  • Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures.
  • Verify patient demographic info/initials, including patient signature post‑venipuncture to confirm tubes were labeled in their presence and that the name on the label is correct.
  • Maintain required records and documentation.
  • Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees and the public.
Job Requirements
  • Ability to provide quality, error‑free work in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Work independently with minimal on‑site supervision.
  • Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric.
  • Flexible and available based on staffing needs, which includes weekends, holidays, on‑call and overtime.
  • Committed to all policies & procedures including company dress code, employee health & safety, and Everyday Excellence Guiding Principles.
  • Make decisions based on established procedures and exercise good judgment.
  • Have reliable transportation, valid driver license, and clean driving record if applicable.
  • Travel and flexible hours required to work multiple locations and cover Patient Service Center/In‑Office Phlebotomy locations with minimal notice.
  • Handle multiple priorities in a high‑volume setting.
  • Demonstrate superior customer focus; communicate openly and transparently with peers, supervisors and patients; embrace change and possess knowledge of our business.
  • Training locations may vary based on trainer availability.
Required Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent (REQUIRED).
  • Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training (preferred).
  • Phlebotomy certification (preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington).
Work Experience
  • 1‑3 years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric and capillary collections.
  • 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment (preferred).
  • Customer service in a retail or service environment (highly preferred).
  • Keyboard/data entry experience.
Additional Job Details
  • Pediatric experience or willingness to gain pediatric experience.
  • Candidate must have reliable transportation to get to/from worksite without issue (bus, Uber, rideshare is not reliable transportation).
  • Must be available to work whenever scheduled, BE ON TIME, and stay for the entire shift.
  • Excessive absenteeism/tardiness is not tolerated and will be cause for termination.
  • Verify commute time to/from the physical work location when submitting candidates.
  • Candidates need to be within a 20‑25 min commute window to ensure their ability to travel to/from the site for coverage.
