Title:
Phlebotomist II

- Under the direction of the area supervisor, perform daily activities accurately and on time.
- Maintain a safe and professional environment.
- Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures.
- Verify patient demographic info/initials, including patient signature post‑venipuncture to confirm tubes were labeled in their presence and that the name on the label is correct.
- Maintain required records and documentation.
- Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees and the public.
- Ability to provide quality, error‑free work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Work independently with minimal on‑site supervision.
- Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric.
- Flexible and available based on staffing needs, which includes weekends, holidays, on‑call and overtime.
- Committed to all policies & procedures including company dress code, employee health & safety, and Everyday Excellence Guiding Principles.
- Make decisions based on established procedures and exercise good judgment.
- Have reliable transportation, valid driver license, and clean driving record if applicable.
- Travel and flexible hours required to work multiple locations and cover Patient Service Center/In‑Office Phlebotomy locations with minimal notice.
- Handle multiple priorities in a high‑volume setting.
- Demonstrate superior customer focus; communicate openly and transparently with peers, supervisors and patients; embrace change and possess knowledge of our business.
- Training locations may vary based on trainer availability.
- High school diploma or equivalent (REQUIRED).
- Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training (preferred).
- Phlebotomy certification (preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington).
- 1‑3 years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric and capillary collections.
- 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment (preferred).
- Customer service in a retail or service environment (highly preferred).
- Keyboard/data entry experience.
- Pediatric experience or willingness to gain pediatric experience.
- Candidate must have reliable transportation to get to/from worksite without issue (bus, Uber, rideshare is not reliable transportation).
- Must be available to work whenever scheduled, BE ON TIME, and stay for the entire shift.
- Excessive absenteeism/tardiness is not tolerated and will be cause for termination.
- Verify commute time to/from the physical work location when submitting candidates.
- Candidates need to be within a 20‑25 min commute window to ensure their ability to travel to/from the site for coverage.
