Role: Teacher of Geography (KS3–KS5)
Location: Fakenham, Norfolk
Contract: Part-Time, Permanent
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: Competitive pro-rata salary
An eco-conscious academy in Fakenham is seeking a passionate Geography Teacher to join its humanities department ASAP. The successful candidate will help students understand environmental change, sustainability and the relationship between people and the planet.
The Role- Deliver Geography lessons: Teach physical and human Geography across KS3, GCSE and post-16 where required.
- Promote sustainability: Use real-world environmental issues to develop geographical understanding.
- Support practical learning: Plan fieldwork, investigations and data collection activities.
- Develop examination skills: Prepare students for geographical questions, case studies and assessments.
- Lead environmental projects: Coordinate student projects focused on conservation and sustainability.
- Encourage independent thinking: Help students analyse data and form evidence-based conclusions.
- Geography specialist: Has strong knowledge of physical and human Geography.
- Qualified teacher: Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised qualification.
- Environmentally aware: Has a genuine interest in sustainability and environmental education.
- Practical teacher: Is confident organising fieldwork and investigative activities.
- Strong planner: Creates clear, differentiated and engaging lessons.
- Positive role model: Inspires students to take responsibility for their surroundings.
