We're recruiting on behalf of an established engineering manufacturer that designs and builds specialist equipment for customers across a range of industries. Every machine is built to customer requirements, giving you genuine variety and the chance to see your work come to life.

This isn't a production maintenance position. You'll be part of a close-knit engineering team, taking ownership of electrical controls, supporting machine builds and helping deliver bespoke engineering solutions from start to finish.

What you'll be doing

As a Controls & Electrical Technician, you'll play a key role throughout the project lifecycle, including:

* Designing practical electrical control solutions for bespoke machinery.

* Producing electrical schematics and technical documentation.

* Selecting electrical components including PLCs, HMIs, sensors, relays and safety devices.

* Configuring and programming PLC and HMI systems.

* Supporting the electrical assembly and wiring of machinery.

* Testing, fault finding and commissioning completed equipment.

* Supporting machine installation and customer acceptance where required.

* Working closely with production and engineering teams to deliver high-quality projects.

* Contributing to the ongoing development and improvement of existing products.

What we're looking for

You'll ideally have experience with:

* Industrial electrical control systems.

* PLC and HMI programming.

* Electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.

* Machine wiring or control panel assembly.

* Electrical testing, fault finding and commissioning.

* Manufacturing, machinery or automation environments.

Experience with AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN or similar electrical design software would be advantageous.
