Cook Chef

Full-Time Chef / Cook – Nursing Home

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Chef/Cook to join team in a friendly, well-established nursing home.
This is a full-time position ideal for someone who is passionate about preparing high-quality, nutritious meals for elderly residents.

Key Responsibilities for Chef

* Prepare and cook daily meals in accordance with residents’ dietary needs and preferences.

* Plan menus that are balanced, appealing, and compliant with nutritional guidelines.

* Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic kitchen environment.

* Assist with ordering stock, managing supplies, and minimising waste.

* Collaborate with care staff to support residents with specific dietary requirements (e.g. soft diets, allergens).

Requirements

* Previous experience working as a Chef or Cook, preferably in a care home, nursing home, hospital, or similar environment.

* Strong understanding of food hygiene, safety standards, and allergens.

* Ability to work independently and manage a busy kitchen.

* Compassionate attitude and commitment to resident wellbeing.

* Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 2 or above preferred).
